Tribal Print?

Seeing as the tribal print trend is following us into the fall I wanted to know what anyone else thinks of it? I'm a bit torn beween loving and hating it. Here's a top I bought last fall, I think it gives bit of spin on the print by doing it in cooler tones, what do you think?

What's Got Me Ecstatic?

So, I was on a website of a mall a few towns over and whilst clicking through the store directory I noticed a new shop I was unfarmiliar with would soon be opening. So I decided to search it online to see if it was worth checking out when it opened, and to my excitement IT IS! Let me introduce you to francescascollections. Normally it is the clothing that really impresses me about a store, but in this case its the accessories. They all have this gorgeous costume-y feel but aren't too childish looking. Although I cannot tell you the quality or specific details about the store itself here are a couple of pictures of some items that SERIOUSLY make me happy and hopefully I can pick up in the future [wink].

The mesh-style metal heart shaped bag is my absolute favorite! And I also like how the necklace is some-what reminiscent of Nicole Richie's House of Harlow jewelry line but is given a twist with being done in a mint shade(:

All photos and items in this post are courtesey of the francescas collections website [link available at begining of post].

Review: Roc Multi Correxion Skin Perfecting System

For the past two months I've been trying out this set. It claims to "diminish the appearance multiple signs of aging" although I use more as a moisturizer and cleanser for my face and neck. The set includes  Daily Perfecting Cleanser, Daily Perfecting Creme SPF 30 and the tube of Intensive Night Concentrate.I use the clenser before bed, the concentrate only when I have really dry skin, and the perfecting creme  prior to putting on my makeup. First off this product does leave my skin feeling very soft and moisturized it does take a while to soak in to your skin even with lots of rubbing and can feel a bit filmy[ew!] but if you don't mind waiting the extra few minutes for it to seep in it really is nice. It also has an SPF of 30 so you can knock out moisturizing and sunblock-ing [haha] in one step. The cleanser has small beads in it similar to an exfoliater, but they re small enough as to where they don't produce that scratchy feeling lie real exfoliatersdo when rubbed into the skin. This it is a bit pricey ringing in at 40$, but is well worth the price if you suffer from dry skin.
Overall grade: B

Just for fun, thats how much product comes out of one pump not counting what I already rubbed on my neck.

Review: Special Effects Silk Drops Hair Serum

So I have a sister, Maddie, who is obsessed with hair products. I'm not into hair styling as I am coloring since my hair is so difficult to deal with. But when my sister brought this home from the drugstore I knew I had to try it. The bottle says its "sheer liquid silk smoothing and polishing hair serum that smoothes frizziness, split end, and glosses hair." The directions say to apply small amount to palm, rub hands together, and apply to surface of damp hair working into ends.

The first thing I noticed is the smell, it smells exactly like the BedHead products from Tigi, so that was a plus right away. This product does a great job at smoothing and softening your hair. I thought that was really important for my hair since its been damaged from coloring it inthe past. Another plus is that you can apply this to your hair dry or damp [I tried both], and it won't make your hair look greasy like some serums do when applied to dry hair. It just soaks into each strand leaving them soft and easy to brush through.
Overall Rating: A-
The scent does fade fairly soon after application.

The brightest I've ever been,

I'm archiving some pictures of me from the spring until I get out the camera and take some new ones(: This was taken back in June, the day after I purchased this yellow Derek Heart romper [or playsuit to some]. I do have to say this is probably the brightest color combination I've ever worn [hence the title of this post]. It's daring I guess, and I'm not sure if I'd ever wear it again but it's nice to know I ventured out of my comfort zone, I'm more of a dark colors type girl.

I've always hated introductions,

The very important intro post, so here it is(: My name is Cork, and I am a fashion addict. This addiction has led me to aquire an interest in beauty and art as well. I think the simplest things are gorgeous, and can barely process the amazing world we live in sometimes. I am a very visual person and this blog serves as my resource  for past present and future ideas and opinions on my obsessions. I hope you enjoy.
